Scott Henson Architect LLC provides  exterior inspection and analysis services including building inspections conducted from scaffolding to permit close-up visual investigation, coordination and analysis of exploratory probe work, material testing coordination and analysis, and comprehensive recommendation reports.

Local Law 11/98 Inspections, Technical Reports and Filing

Scott Henson Architect LLC offers façade inspection and reporting services for buildings six stories or taller in accordance with New York City Local Law 11/98. We have performed over 100 Local Law 11 inspections, providing our clients with comprehensive reports on unsafe façade conditions and working closely with both property owners and contractors to ensure their timely and proper repair. 

Our services include facade inspections from street level as well as close-up inspections from scaffolding to identify and document any unsafe conditions, preparation of reports in compliance with Local Law 11/98 including written and photographic documentation of building façade conditions, and required city filing. In the event that unsafe conditions are discovered, we provide owners with a repair strategy and timetable, construction documents and specifications, and assist in coordination of the required repair program.

Certificate of Occupancy Filing

A building’s Certificate of Occupancy documents its legal use & occupancy. New buildings are required to file for a temporary or final certificate of occupancy before they can be legally occupied. Scott Henson Architect LLC assists property owners in finding, and/or amending their existing certificate occupancy, as well as filing for a new certificate of occupancy.
